James M. Sargent, M.D.

Bring It On

The BIO Run was created in memory of Dr. James M. Sargent, whose actions changed the lives of all who knew him. He passed away gracefully in 2014 at age 76, after a battle with leukemia. He was a surgeon, a painter, a sculptor, a sailor, a hunter, an author, and my grandfather.  "Popos" had the bluest eyes, the warmest laugh, and an unyielding sense of adventure. He was kind, intelligent, funny, courageous, strong, and selfless to his dying day. His spirit is embodied in the mantra of our race, “Bring It On”.

I created this race to advance his legacy of helping others.  By supporting the BIO Run, you are carrying the torch.

Thank you,

Will McCreadie
